It is obvious from the noises being made by its senior executives that Juniper wants to be known as a disruptor - a shining example of a forward looking company ready and willing to embrace the realities of an SDN/NFV market that values virtualised software more than networking hardware.

This demonstration displays Imtech ICT's POC lab, with our SDN /NFV Consultant Alex Walker, showing Juniper Networks Contrail SDN controller working with OpenStack. We'll demonstrate the creation of some new web hosting services for an existing customer all within the Contrail and OpenStack environment. We then show the connection of these Virtual Networks through to their physical networks using Juniper Network's MX router- their Universal SDN Gateway.
