The partnership between [Versa Networks,](https://www.versa-networks.com) innovator of the Secure Cloud IP  
 Platform, and [Axians](https://www.axians.co.uk), the pan-European provider of ICT  
 solutions and services, has resulted in a major UK customer signing in the form  
 of technology service provider [Zen Internet.](https://www.zen.co.uk/) Zen is taking advantage of the partnership between Versa and Axians,  
 which is dedicated to assisting service providers and enterprises with the  
 development of software-defined WAN and security services.

Leveraging the Versa visionary WAN edge  
 infrastructure, Axians is offering technical integration and operations support  
 for Zen as it further develops its offerings for the UK SD-WAN market. The  
 support of Axians has already been key in enabling Zen to take Versa-powered  
 SD-WAN solutions to market.

“The skills and capabilities that we have in our team allows our customers to focus primarily on their strategic business goals,” said Chris Gilmour, CTO of Axians. “For Zen, we consulted on the development of a software defined networking solution including head-end and analytics, professional services to support in the build of the platform and uCPE technology for lab and end-customer use. Our partnership continues as we support Zen on their go-to-market strategy.”

Versa’s SD-WAN solution combines full multi-tenancy, multiple  
 deployment options, zero-touch provisioning and multi-cloud extensibility to  
 enable solution providers to create high value NFV-based managed service  
 offerings. As a result, enterprise customers are able to leverage these new  
 capabilities to better manage their WAN costs while simplifying operations,  
 enhancing network resiliency and improving application performance. Additional  
 benefits also include resilient connectivity and critical security functions  
 like next-generation firewall and secure web gateway that automatically  
 integrate with other networking functions.

“Our customers’ WAN requirements are becoming increasingly  
 sophisticated,” said James Albiges, General Manager – Networks &  
 Communications, of Zen. “Many have international locations, others are looking  
 for visibility and control at the application level, and all are looking for a  
 flexible, fully-managed or co-managed WAN solution. By working together with  
 Axians, we have been able to leverage their logistics capabilities and their  
 expertise in software-defined networking. We can now provide an agile,  
 cost-effective solution that incorporates sophisticated analytics and SLA  
 management, as well as dynamic application and connectivity management, all  
 supported by the expertise and support we are known for.”

Versa Networks is expanding its reach in Europe in part by helping large enterprises and service providers augment their existing MPLS investment and embrace VNF SD-WAN. It was through this expansion that Versa partnered with Axians in the UK to bring its unique software-based solution to market.
